On a warm, partly cloudy, summer day there was a very important tike race. This was the race that everyone in the town of Ann Arbor was looking forward to for months and months. The crowd favorite, Bob Jones, was looking to win his 20th race in a row, while young competitor Billy Smith was looking to knock Jones off his pedestal and win his first. _The race started, and got off just as everyone thought it would. Jones was leading the pack by a huge length and Smith was right there in second place. The race went on and Smith and Jones pulled away from the rest of the pack so far that no one but them had a chance of winning. They looked super human riding those bikes so fast. They would climb the mountains with tremendous speed and go down them in super sonic speed as well. The race was nearing its end. Smith and Jones were neck and neck going into the final straight away. The crowd was cheering with excitement about who was going to win, Jones wanted his 21st straight victory and the crowd loved him, but Smith wanted his first and the crowd was eager with excitement to see if Smith could knock Jones off.
